Lamont Pridmore, which has locations in Carlisle, across Cumbria and Lancashire, impressed the judges with the level of support it has for businesses large and small.
The awards ceremony, held at the General Practitioners Society in London, was attended by more than 250 influential leaders from across the family business community.
Lamont Pridmore narrowly won the award in the field of 10 finalists but has won several titles in previous years at the family business awards.
Graham Lamont, chief executive of Lamont Pridmore, said: “Family businesses play a vital role in the success of the UK economy and account for some of the best small, medium and large businesses of the country.
“We are truly honored to be recognized at this prestigious ceremony, but this would not have been possible without the exceptional work of our dedicated team.
“I feel really honored to be working with so many passionate professionals on behalf of clients.”
Chris Lamont, son of Graham and a partner at the company, added: “Running a family-run business presents a unique set of challenges, but also many advantages.
“We have an outstanding track record in helping family businesses and so this latest award means a lot to us.”
