The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for parts of Brevard near Space Force Base Patrick following reports of heavy rain early Thursday. The consultation session lasts until 11:15 am
A downpour of about 1 to 3 inches of rain was reported on Patrick Air Force Base, with minor flooding in and around the area, the service reported.
“It’s just a tiny area but after today we should see more rain,” said Kole Fehling, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Melbourne.

The system is weakening at 8:30 a.m. and is expected to move off the base.
