Alec Baldwin accused of being ‘tone-deaf’ after he posts photo marking last day of filming Rust

Alec Baldwin posted a fun photo on Monday (May 15) to mark the final day of filming for the film. rustmany people criticized the actor for being “tone deaf”.

Production on the Western film was recently resumed at the Yellowstone Film Ranch in Montana. It was previously halted when the 65-year-old star accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on set in 2021.

Following the incident, Baldwin was charged with two counts of manslaughter, but the charge was later dropped.

The Hutchins family are said to be pursuing a civil lawsuit against Baldwin.

Posting on Instagram to mark his last day of filming with actor Patrick Scott McDermott, Baldwin shared a photo of the pair, along with the caption: “Last day on set. WOOD with this guy.

“A very talented actor and a lovely young man with a bright future ahead of him. My love for you, @patrickscottmcdermott.”

In a later post, he wrote: “My God, it was great to shave that beard…”

Many comments criticized the first post. “They are still going with the movie,” one person wrote. “Sorry, but the taste is terrible. A life has been lost. What?”

“Ton. Deaf,” another added.

“The fact that someone tragically died on this set, a young mother was there, means that while you go on and on with the film, it’s probably out of respect and shared sensibility. you don’t post happy pictures with people who are alive after that particular movie!!!!!” posted a third.

The fourth wrote: “Shameless.”

independence has reached out to a Baldwin representative for comment.

The film follows Baldwin as a notorious outlaw who escapes to prevent his 13-year-old nephew from being hanged for murder.
