Global management consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal has in recent weeks added a range of senior experts to its teams across the UK.
In its Financial Services operation, Alvarez & Marsal welcomed four new senior leaders: Alan Coutts (Edinburgh), David Kane (London), Stuart Herron (London) and Roberto Stucchi (London).
Meanwhile, André Medeiros has been brought to the board to co-lead the company’s European Retail and Consumer group (along with Erin Brookes), while Alvarez & Marsal Taxand (the tax advisory arm of the company). company) added Kathy Lloyd and Chris Prout to the company’s Employment Tax & Rewards service line.
Alan Coutts joined Alvarez & Marsal to lead the company’s Asset Management operations across EMEA. Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Coutts was Global Managing Director, Investments at abrdn, where he was responsible for shaping the investment model during the merger of Standard Life Investments and Aberdeen Asset Management.
david kane joined Alvarez & Marsal to lead the company’s Alternative Investing operations across EMEA. Previously, he spent more than 15 years with EY, where he most recently worked as a partner in Property & Asset Management. He specializes in front-to-back operating models for private equity managers.
Stuart Herron joined Alvarez & Marsal to lead the Insurance capability across EMEA. He has previously held senior leadership roles in the industry and in Deloitte’s Insurance Consulting business. He specializes in insurance M&A, transformation and value creation. Stuart has extensive experience in the UK and European Insurance markets.
Robert Stuchi joined the Banking-focused Performance Improvement team. Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Stucchi spent seven years at EY-Parthenon, focusing on corporate strategy, commercial due diligence and ESG; he also spent 11 years at Bain & Company and started his career at PwC. He has more than two decades of experience working with banks in Europe and emerging markets.

Andre Medeiros has over 20 years of experience in commerce growth, marketing, and transformation among consumer players – including managing revenue growth, transforming commerce operations, and digitally enabling capabilities sales and marketing. He also has extensive experience in cost optimization, including turnaround and full-model transformations.
Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Medeiros led PwC’s Retail and Consumer Advisory in the UK and throughout EMEA. Previously, he worked at Booz & Company (now Strategy&), and held executive and strategic roles at Tesco, a leading international grocery retailer. He started his career in Brazil and has since worked with clients across the US, UK, Australia, Europe and Southeast Asia.

Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal Taxand, he served as the Executive Director of EY’s International Transaction Tax team.
