Gunners title dream in tatters as Pep’s side win vital Premier League clash with ease

It’s all from Etihad!

Man City shortened the gap with Arsenal to only 2 points thanks to a well-deserved 4-1 victory.

It was men against boys as Pep Guardiola’s side completely overpowered a boring Arsenal team.

And now the title race is once again really in their hands.

Thank you for reading, and good night!

Kevin De Bruyne reacts

When speaking to BBC Sport, the Man City star said: “I think this is a big game. Winning this game is always important.

“A lot of people will talk about the title but in our mind we had to perform well and we did. We still have seven games to play so a lot is going on.

“We are at the end of the season so we know that every game has to be won. If we lose today it will be difficult. We played very well.”

“The years have changed so much. The atmosphere is unbelievable. People are always talking about our crowd but they help push us forward. If you see 50,000 people dancing with their backs to the field, that will affect the opposition.

“I don’t think the teams have gone too far. Sometimes it will be very fiery but also a lot of risk.

“In a way, it’s easy for us with the schedule we have. It’s impossible to know what’s going to happen in a few weeks. It’s difficult to be 100 per cent in every game – we’ve done it. there’s Munich away, then London for Sheffield.

“The last five or six weeks, every three days. That way it’s much easier than if you just played every weekend.”
