Research done by luggage storage company Bouncewho analyzed a range of factors including weather conditions, the number of beaches in each destination as well as hotel and food costs.

Based on the above, the most budget-friendly destination found was Benidorm in Spain.

The popular seaside resort town has been popular with British tourists for its 16 beaches and various water parks.

Food and drink are also cheap with a beer costing just £2 while a meal at a mid-range restaurant will cost £10, although one Brit abroad has found beer as cheap as 88p in some places.

The weather is also excellent with mild temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius during the summer months.

Both Ryanair and easyJet operate direct flights from London to Alicante, with flights starting from £23 in August.

Another Spanish city was also named one of the most affordable beach breaks.

Valencia, in the east of Spain, is also one of the cheapest destinations for accommodation, with a hotel costing £127 per night in August.

There are eight beaches for every hundred kilometers in the city – making it an ideal spot for any Briton who enjoys spending a day at the beach.

It also gets quite uncomfortable, with temperatures rising to 26 degrees Celsius during the hottest months of the year.

Porto in Portugal is also listed as another affordable beach vacation.

Not only does it have 24 beaches, but food and drink are also cheap with a cheap meal costing just £8.

Other destinations on the list include Bodrum in Türkiye and Athens in Greece.

Meanwhile, here are three other budget holiday spots just over four hours from the UK and with a temperature of 33 degrees Celsius.

For Britons who don’t want to travel abroad, Hythe in Kent has been named the most affordable resort town in the UK.
