Yesterday’s sunshine continued over Connecticut today, with a few clouds expected later in the day.
It will be a hot day with the highest temperature in the 90s. Temperatures inland look set to reach 91, while temperatures along the coast could reach 84 degrees today. Our temperatures are about 6 degrees above normal at this time of year.
High humidity values remain on Wednesday. The current highest record is 102 degrees, set 13 years ago.
Those who want to go outside are reminded to stay warm, so be sure to bring sunscreen, rest often, and drink as much water as possible.
Clouds move later today with a brief thunderstorm possible over some isolated areas. The best chance for an upcoming storm is Monday.
The outlook for severe weather is low on Thursday and the hot trend looks set to continue into Friday. You could call it a “cooling down trend,” but we’ll be in the 80s for the next few days.
