Actress Anne Heche was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles.

The incident took place earlier today (August 5) in the Mar Vista area. TMZ reported that Heche crashed into a house in a blue Mini Cooper, set it on fire and suffered “severe” burns.

She was taken on a stretcher to a nearby ambulance and appears to be currently in the hospital, intubated, but “expected to live,” TMZ wrote.

The incident is believed to have happened shortly after noon, local time. Witnesses told TMZ that Heche’s car crashed into the garage of an apartment complex.

The report adds that she then crashed into a nearby house, adding that “the fire was huge and engulfed the house.”

KTLA reported that Heche suffered “severe burns”.

Actor Heche became famous in the 1990s for his roles in films such as Donnie Brasco, Volcano and I know what you did last summer.

She appeared as a contestant on the American show Dancing with the stars in 2000 and will appear in the upcoming HBO series Idol, are from Happiness creators Sam Levinson and The Weeknd’s Abel Tesfaye, featured in the film alongside Lily-Rose Depp.
