Sick Big Brother star Lauren Harries has shared her support for Phillip Schofield following his departure from This Morning.
Phillip, 61, shocked the public when he announced his immediate departure from the ITV show after 21 years.
The presenter usually sits on the sofa with close friend and co-host Holly Willoughby, 42, but the two’s relationship has been strained in recent months.
Fans and former guests have reacted to Phil’s recent passing and Lauren only learned of the news recently.
Lauren’s mom shared updates on the star’s recovery from brain surgery and posted Lauren’s message to Phil.
She has been in the hospital since April after needing emergency brain surgery.
Using Lauren’s Twitter account, her mother provided updates on her recovery.
Earlier this week, she wrote on Twitter: “Lauren is still in hospital and not up to date with entertainment so I told her today that Philip has passed away. @this morningshe was shocked.
“She’s always loved her time on the show and good luck to both of them! I know @hollywills will do a great job.
“Lauren wanted to share this photo of herself one last time on This Morning. Love you all xxx.”
Earlier this month, Lauren’s worried mother quickly took to social media to beg fans for help.
One tweet read: “Please help: Lauren had some blackouts, then the right half of her face drooped. This was extremely scary for Lauren and us. She was also. constant headache.
“Doctors can’t explain what’s causing these. Have you or someone you know been through this? Any ideas or help you can offer would be very helpful.
“@NHSuk saved Lauren but they couldn’t find any answer to this and it’s scary when it happened, it happened again yesterday. Please help figure out what’s causing these things. !”
During her recovery, Lauren faced a setback when last month she was admitted to the intensive care unit before being transferred back to the neurology department.
The exact condition or medical problem Lauren has is still unknown.
