Revealed featuring Khalid and brass band in high energy rave rehearsal
Last time Surrey-born brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence played Coachella, in 2016 they enhanced their live show with a number of celebrity guest vocals including Lorde (for “Magnets”) , Sam Smith (for “Latch” and “Omen”) and AlunaGeorge (for “White Noise”).
By those high standards, tonight’s performance is relatively low-key — with the exception of Khalid’s late arrival at the first live performance of his 2020 collaboration “Know Your Worth.” Perhaps it’s a sign that the Lawrence brothers are now more confident in their own ability to hold on to Coachella audiences with minimal bells and whistles.
Now more than a decade into the career they started as teenagers, the couple have become de facto experts in delivering a high-energy zest to this point. The Coachella crowd is ready to meet them halfway, and they’re ready to look forward to the duo’s sunset, an exhilarating aerial show. “We want to see maximum energy, maximum vibes tonight,” the brothers announced. To be fair, their wish came true.
“When the fire starts to burn” has the whole crowd moving in unison, while the phone lights come on to illuminate “At night”. Despite playing carnival yesterday, there was no sign of Slowthai other than a big-screen pre-recording for the Grammy-nominated banger “My High.”
The duo ended their performance with the party song “Tondo,” which featured onstage brass band trumpets, but the focus never really left the two brothers on the middle stage. in the sublime performance that the Coachella stage was performed.

Since 2015, 88 Establishments have been working with artists and creators from across Asia and, tonight, the LA-based company is showcasing the big boys and girls for an epic 80 minutes. with an epic list of names as well as a group of dancers and multi-class theater.
A scaled-down version of 88aging’s hugely successful Head in the Clouds festival, it’s the perfect potted variety show – featuring Thai rapper Milli, Korean singer-songwriter Bibi and vocals co-signed Niki, a Jakarta native, Taylor Swift, as well as Indonesian rappers Rich Brian and Warren Hue.
However, it was the unannounced appearance of Chinese superstar Jackson Wang that really made the festival lose its collective character.
With silver-green hair and red gloves on the epic screen, Wang flashed through ten minutes of Michael Jackson-inspired choreography with a Las Vegas-worthy magician, much to his delight. glad for his appearance, but also wonder why he hasn’t been on stage for at least an hour longer.
Fans react to Wang’s ‘eaten up’ Coachella performance here.

Coachella weather report
Where yesterday was too hot, today is definitely too windy. Dust storms surround the area, making visibility a challenge for many who drive to the festival. On the ground, this meant bucket hats flying everywhere, trash cans strewn across fields, and lots of hair turning into hairless strands. Solution? Hold on to your hat, Coachella.
