New Delhi,UPDATED: December 11, 2023 19:53 IST

Stuart Broad made a hilarious comment after England announced their Test squad for the upcoming tour of India.

Broad has announced his retirement from all forms of the game following the conclusion of the 2023 Ashes series.

Broad’s impact on the sport was profound; He was a member of the England team that won the 2010 ICC T20 World Cup and is recognized as one of the greatest Test bowlers.

His career is full of notable achievements, such as taking 8/15 against Australia in the 2015 Ashes series and joining an elite group of bowlers with over 600 test wickets. Broad’s partnership with James Anderson was legendary, surpassing McGrath and Warne as the leading bowling pair in Tests.

On July 29 of this year, Broad decided to retire while still at the peak of his career, expressing his desire to finish on a high note. His final moments on the field were poetic; he hit a six from the last ball he faced and scored the winning run off the final delivery, sealing victory for England. Following his retirement, Broad transitioned into a commentator role with Sky Sports, sharing his expertise and insight into the sport in which he had such an enormous influence.

After announcing the test squad for the upcoming India tour, the former pacer dropped a hilarious comment on his Instagram story. Broad said he had been looking for his name on the list for some time.

“I literally spent five seconds looking for my name,” Broad said.
