Netflix’s keen viewers have spotted a hilarious mistake in the new action-horror movie 2 . mining.
The film, the sequel to Chris Hemsworth’s 2020 film Exploitwas released on the streaming service last Friday (June 16).
IN Mining 2, Hemsworth takes on the role of skilled mercenary Tyler Rakes, who is tasked with rescuing a woman and two children from a state-of-the-art prison facility.
The sequel received better reviews than the first film, although viewers did complain about one particular element. Now, however, the film is also facing ridicule on social media after a clip was shared highlighting an unfortunate filming error.
In the roughly 45-minute clip, Hemsworth’s character can be seen in a gunfight with an enemy helicopter.
As he tried to avoid being shot, Rakes hid behind a ladder – there was barely any barrier between his body and the oncoming bullets.
“I’m watching 2 . mining and Chris Hemsworth just hid behind a ladder,” one person wrote, sharing a clip of the moment on Twitter.
Others flocked in amused reactions to the absurd scene, sharing comments on social media.
“It worked, didn’t it,” joked one, while another described the moment as “ridiculous”.
“He’s taking steps to protect himself,” another punted, while another commented: “Everybody knows it’s bad luck to hide behind a ladder.”
Irish comedian Dara Ó Briain jokingly explains: “This works because the wavelength of the bullet is longer than the space on the scale. You need a helicopter minigun that has a smaller wavelength bullet.”

Others likened the moment to being in a video game.

“Top video game mechanics right there. Ladders are solid (although partially invisible) objects in many games,” one person wrote. “That and the Rocky-inspired recovery footage made me laugh pretty hard.”
“It seems like the writer, director, and producer all play too many FPS games,” another person theorized.
“I watched this last night and thought it was a really long cutscene from a game like Cry away. Tell me I’m not the only one,” another said.
