NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Today most areas will be dry. There may be a few thunderstorms on the 4th.
It will be hot this afternoon, but not as hot as last weekend. The highs will be at the lows of the 90s and will feel wet. Mixed sunshine and clouds are expected, and parts of southern Central Tennessee could see storm surge. Strong winds and heavy rain are possible with any storm.

Most of July 4 is dry with highs again at 90s lows. Individual storms are possible in the afternoon and early evening, but most areas will be clear by the time of submission. fireworks show at night.
Unstable weather returns mid to weekend. Expect plenty of showers and storms on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. By the end of the week, temperatures will be below average in the upper 80s.
Saturday will be cloudy skies with only a chance of showers. High above 80s.
Scattered showers and storms return on Sunday.
