The high court has heard Harry Maguire’s fiancée Fern Hawkins was ‘disgusted and embarrassed’ when Rebekah Vardy helped paparazzi photograph England’s WAGs at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The claim was made in the £3million ‘Wagatha Christie’ legal fight today, which has seen Rebekah, 40, sue her colleague WAG Coleen Rooney, 36, for defamation after she accused her of sharing stories from her personal Instagram with The Sun.
The case had evidence of a 2018 paparazzi photo, with text messages between Rebekah and her former agent Caroline Watt said to reveal Rebekah’s key role in making this story behind the WAGs’ backs. her colleague.
She previously denied any part of the photo was created, which shows the women gathering outside a restaurant.

The court heard today an 11-hour witness statement from FA liaison officer Harpreet Robertson claiming that Harry Maguire’s fiancée Fern Hawkins was upset by the snap.
In testimony read out in court by Mr Sherborne, Ms Robertson said: ‘Fern has expressed displeasure with me, that she was involved and that she was embarrassed, prepared and not expecting her. Vardy put in that position.’
Messages between Rebekah and Ms Watt on the date in question were passed on to Coleen’s legal team as part of their Supreme Court battle.

However, half an hour later, Rebekah texted that she was worried other women would think she cheated on the photographer after they spotted him outside the restaurant.
“F*** I asked everyone out to take pictures and pap was there… Looks like I’ve let him know now,” Vardy said.
She said that her WAGS colleague wanted her to post her own pictures of them on her own Instagram.
‘The girls asked me to put it on insta so get them out fast… they want me to put it up before pap put it in! I bought about 10 minutes,’ she wrote.
Posting a group photo on one of the WAGS’s Instagram will make the paparazzi’s photo less valuable, as it will be freely available to the mass media.
