It’s been a bright and cool start to our Easter Sunday, but we should see rising clouds in the afternoon followed by a few scattered showers. With much colder air overhead, we could even see some graupels or soft hail with some of these sprays going through.

The time frame for these showers is from 12 noon to 3 pm.

It’s going to be a little cooler today than it was yesterday with highs in the 40s top to 50s lows. It will be very cool, so most of the day feels like being in your 40s.

Tonight, the skies will clear as temperatures drop mid to above 30 overnight.

Tomorrow morning, for the Boston Marathon, the temperature will be at 40 at the start line in Hopkinton, but will rise to a low of 50 at the finish line. We should see winds shifting away from the SE in the afternoon, which will result in cooler shoreline temperatures, with higher temperatures further inland by the mid-50s.

Clouds formed Monday night before our next system. That system will bring rain to the area Tuesday morning with some drizzle for our region, some snowfall into higher elevations in western MA and parts of northern New England.

The rain will stop Tuesday afternoon and we’ll have a pattern of calm through the weekend and warm up through Friday as the 60s return on Thursday and Friday.
