Kieran Culkin says former Succession co-star Brian Cox can be a ‘scary guy’

Kieran Culkin has shared about his old love heir co-star, Brian Cox.

Culkin plays the precarious business heir Roman Roy in the popular TV series that ended last month. Cox plays his father, sour-tongued media mogul Logan Roy.

As part of Diversity“Actor About Actor” series, 40-year-old Culkin sat down with Claire Danes, with whom he co-starred in the 2002 stand-up comedy-drama. Igby goes down.

At one point during their joint interview, Danes praised his work in season three heir episode, in which Roman appears as a child when confronting his father.

“You are a child, really. It was done very well,” she told Culkin, before he expressed that it was a natural reaction to act with Cox.

“I realize I’m doing it right now for some reason,” he notes. “Whenever I have to shoot with Brian, it’s like, ‘Dad, I feel like I’m seven years old.’

“He can be a scary guy. Not for me – I can approach him as an adult. But for whatever reason, in terms of personality, I feel like seven to him.”
