Buckingham Palace tweeted the first official portrait of the King marking his coronation.

It comes after new figures show Sunday Night’s Coronation Concert was watched by an average of 10.1 million people, overnight figures from the BBC programme. The event had a peak audience of 12.3 million, the corporation said.

Diners at a local lunch club in Hertfordshire said they felt “really lucky” after the prime minister’s surprise visit as part of the Big Help Out programme.

Local residents, mostly elderly, were served lamb stew and wine by “very special guests” Rishi Sunak and his wife, Akshata Murty, in the dining room of the Mill End Community Center. at Rickmansworth.

The Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) operates a lunch club at the center Monday through Friday, mainly for those in the community who are excluded from the family network.

Mr. Sunak and Mrs. Murty cut turnips and strawberries in the kitchen wearing black aprons before entering the room to toast, ending with the group saying “Long live the king” and three cheers.

Prince Louis attended Big Help Out at the 3rd Upton Scouts Hut in Slough today, to help with the renovation.

The 5-year-old sits on Prince William’s lap as the two move the dirt on the excavator.

He then supported the spade, before taking a break from earning a lot to enjoy some fun with the Boy Scouts – an association the Princess of Wales has been co-chair of since 2020.
