The footage was taken around 9:40 a.m. on Sunday (May 22) and shows a man driving two suitcases down a crowded A555 in Greater Manchester as the car sped past him. The video was taken by a taxi driver after he dropped off a passenger at nearby Manchester Airport. The 38-year-old, who did not want to be named, said the scene left him bewildered.
According to Manchester Evening News, The witness said: “I was walking out of the airport towards the M56 and I thought, ‘What is this person doing?’
“I couldn’t believe it. It’s not something you’d expect to see on a live highway – there were cars going past him at 60 mph. How could you not think you’re going through him? Where you shouldn’t go When you have cars rushing past you And where do you go with all the suitcases on the road?
“It’s utterly mind-boggling; human stupidity knows no bounds.
“Apparently he just came from somewhere and was trying to find someone. I think he must have been expecting someone to come pick him up and they arranged a place to avoid paying the pick-up fee and getting the wrong head. stick.
“I’m a taxi driver and I’m at the airport five times a day and the amount of time people are willing to go without having to pay pick-up and drop-off fees is amazing. They bounce around roundabouts. and in the middle of the road I’ve seen people back down a one-way ramp to avoid tolls I’ve seen it all.
“I was about to pull over and tell him he was putting himself in danger but he looked at me and I could see cars coming behind and I didn’t want to cause any more problems.”
The A555 connects Manchester Airport in the west with Stockport in the east of the county.
