Matthew McConaughey says plane dropping 4,000ft mid-flight was a ‘hell of a scare’

Matthew McConaughey spoke of the “unbelievable” feeling he and his wife experienced last month when their plane suddenly crashed at 4,000 ft mid-flight.

The Oscar-winning actor can be heard describing the phenomenon of “zero gravity” in an episode of Turn off the CameraKelly Ripa’s SiriusXM podcast, reporting Fox News.

“Your red wine, your glasses and your plate are all floating, floating, still floating in the air,” he said. And to look at it for a long time, not that long – one, two, three, four – and then it all fell apart.”

The Lufthansa flight bound for Frankfurt, Germany, took off from Austin, Texas. The plane was diverted to Washington DC following the incident.
