The transition from capital to country is a common thing, and many Londoners are in a constant battle to decide which rural location is the best place to move to.

When deciding which rural location is the most desirable place to live, Rightmove There are some interesting tips. The online real estate website has compiled a list of the 10 highest in demand countryside location for the buyer. According to Rightmove: “We know many people’s dream home is a detached cottage in the countryside, or in a cozy cottage by the sea.

“Finding a place with a small, friendly community is often on the list of fun moves too. So we looked at which ‘rural’ towns, villages and hamlets are drawing the greatest demand from buyers looking to make a life-changing move. All have populations of less than 10,000 residents, while most […] offers buyers a good selection of old houses, as well as convenient rail connections to major cities. ”

Denham exudes rural charm, but London isn’t too far away if you need a snapshot of city life

Coming in at number eight on the list is one the village just outside London – Denham in Buckinghamshire, on the Uxbridge border. Formerly known as Hollywood of Home Counties, thanks to Denham Film Studios, this quaint village has a lot to offer.

As Rightmove describes it: “Right within the M25 and on the eastern edge of Chiltern Hills, life in Denham offers scenic walks along the Grand Union Canal, very fast train service to London Marylebone (from 24 min), and quite village with some quaint cottages and large executive houses. ”

Although Denham is close to London, the average asking price for a real estate has £574,991 which is extremely reasonable. As Rightmove describes it: “Right within the M25 and on the eastern edge of Chiltern Hills, life in Denham offers scenic walks along the Grand Union Canal, very fast train service to London Marylebone (from 24 min), and quite village with some quaint cottages and large executive houses. ”

Although Denham is close to London, the average asking price for a real estate has a very reasonable £601,585. If you are a nature lover, Denham is definitely the place for you. With Denham National Park on your doorstep and several forested areas nearby, you won’t be disappointed.



It’s hard to imagine a more quintessential English village

PicturesOfEngland describes Denham as a “pictured village in the wooded countryside. It has many attractive wooden and brick cottages, covered with colorful foliage with lovely doorways leading directly to the street. It’s a narrow alley village where it’s handsome nature, most of which are homes of the rich and famous. ”

Denham is easily accessible by car, just go to the A40 outside of London. By train, a short distance from Marylebone.
