Robert Downey Jr has named two of the most important films in his recent career.

The 58-year-old New York City-born actor is now one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood, perhaps best known for his role as Tony Stark in 2008. Iron Man. Downey Jr has reprized the role in nine other Marvel Cinematic Universe films, the most recent being 2019 Avengers: Game over.

It’s perhaps surprising that Downey Jr has named two other titles the most important films he’s made in the past 25 years.

In the interview, Downey Jr explained his reasoning behind the uncertain naming of the two films.

“Honestly, the two most important films I’ve made in the last 25 years are Blunt dogbecause it was the movie that made Disney say they would insure me,” he said.

“Then the second most important movie is Dolittle, because Dolittle was a wasted opportunity that lasted two and a half years. The stress it puts on my girl when she rolls her sleeves up to her armpits to make it even ready to go on the market is amazing.”

Downey Jr’s wife, Susan Downey, is a co-producer of Dolittle. The couple are the founders of the production company Team Downey, which also produces the HBO series Perry Mason.
