Slideway closed on A1 Western Bypass
The A1 Western Bypass Northbound entrance is closed due to vehicle breakdown at J73 A694 Derwenthaugh Road (Blaydon / Consett Turn Off).
Traffic is coping well. Slideway from A694 is closed.

Bus replacement service operating due to Metro disruption
No trains run between St. Peters and South Hylton due to overhead line failures at Sunderland. There are three alternative bus services and tickets are being accepted on Stagecoach and Go North East buses in the area.
Tickets are accepted on Stagecoach 8, 10, 11, 20 and Go North East 56.9. The Metro will operate approximately every 24 minutes between the Airport and St. Peters.

There are currently no trains operating between St. Peters and South Hylton in both directions due to overhead line failures.
