Vincent D’Onofrio seems to be in favor of moving from the MCU to the DCU.
The 63-year-old actor is known for playing Kingpin aka Wilson Fisk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
He has had roles in movies and TV shows including reckless, Hawk Eye, echoAnd Daredevil: Reincarnation.
However, D’Onofrio seems eager to launch DC Comics.
On Thursday (April 13), the actor retweeted an article from CBR.comin which the writer makes an argument for D’Onofrio’s take on the role of Swamp Thing.
The article that D’Onofrio shared was titled: “DCU’s perfect swamp actor is the MCU’s best villain.”
“Love this,” the actor captioned the post.
Fans seem to agree with D’Onofrio, with many commenting on their excitement over the potential casting.
“We are ready for it,” one person wrote. Another added: “That’s amazing, really hope you get the perfect role you want.”
Another wrote: “You can do amazing things with that role! I would love to see you take on such a nuanced and reflective character.
Notable among the thousands of people who liked D’Onofrio’s post was DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn.

Although Gunn did not comment on the post or retweet it, he did like D’Onofrio’s post, leading everyone to hope that fan casting might materialize in the future.
“JAMES LIKE THIS OH S***,” one person wrote.
In 2021, many fans are disappointed to not see D’Onofrio continue to take on the role of Kingpin in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
In response to rumors his character could appear in a Marvel movie, the actor wrote on Twitter: “I can’t wait to see it. I didn’t participate but I heard it was a very good movie.”
He had previously expressed his excitement at the prospect of appearing in the film.
