The tropical wave currently at 46W, alongside a favorable upper-grade pattern and sufficient atmospheric moisture, will produce cloudy to overcast skies, showers and individual thunderstorms over most of the area. The guide also suggests that a wind surge will move parallel to the waves and therefore occasional gusts of up to 30 knots near showers. A small craft advice was issued on July 2nd.
UPDATE:
Today: Tropical Waves currently at 55W along with a favorable superior pattern will produce cloudy to overcast skies, scattered showers and individual thunderstorms across the region. Guidance is showing a strong wind moving parallel to the waves and gusts of almost showers are expected. In addition, a small craft and high-surf advisory has been issued for today.
